Since volatility can go up and down in a sec, once you see youre in the green do you set a limit sell order or just press sell when the premium # is above what you recently bought it at? An Example is your premium was bought at $2 and now the bid is $2.50 and ask is $3. Sometime I would try to set a sell a limit around $2.75 and it would fill. But most time I just clock sell when my premium is over my original.

Sorry I’m spamming you with so many questions. Just trying to develop and understand what makes successful traders think.. Im looking at your order history today on robinhood. What are the reasons for all the canceled order?

As a result of placing orders below the bid, many times my orders never get filled. Therefore, I cancel the order once a new 5 minute time frame begins.

I have a good story to tell.. So I put a put order for 1 today at about 7:30am. Way below bid so I didn’t think it was going to execute.. I thought I had cancelled, when my kids woke up and I had to tend to morning duties.. 30 minutes later I log into RH on my phone and I see +265 from the TSLA option! Sure enough I cashed out!

Moral of the story? Better to be lucky then good I guess… lol. And breakfast is the most important meal of the day. +430 today though half of it was on blind luck. I should go buy a lotto ticket tonight…

Haha wow! That’s definitely lucky! Why did you put in an order at 7:30? Just gambling? lol

Nice work though! Very nice profit 🙂
Good luck on that lotto ticket! lol

No.. I was anticipating TSLA to go up and put price below bid. I meant to cancel order when my kids called, but I guess I didn’t. I was totally shocked when I saw that the order executed and I was in the black..

I really enjoy checking your site each day and tracking your progress. What percentage of orders would you say get cancelled each day? I try to be patient and will put orders in below the bid trying to catch a few more points but when the stock reverses and goes the way I thought it would I find myself chasing instead of just letting it go and waiting for the next setup. Great job by the way!

Thanks James! That’s a really good question. I haven’t calculated the percentage for that yet. Looking at my trades from yesterday, I had 19 cancelled buy orders and I had 18 orders filled. So apparently over 50% are cancelled! I never realized the number was so high, really interesting! But honestly I think it’s good that I don’t really think about it because that means I’m more focused on the next opportunity. Let it go, James. Just let it go lol.
