When youre looking at the 5 mins candle to you wait for the First candle to turn red or 2nd? My problem is everytime I used the 5 mins candle somewhere in that time frame it goes up and sometimes it keep going and I have to cut my losses.

Not sure what you mean by 1st or 2nd candle. The percentage change that I look for must all occur within a single 5 minute time frame. It resets when a new 5 minute candle begins. Can you give me one example of a trade you made that resulted in a loss? I can break it down with you. Feel free to email me.

I noticed on the last two AAPL that you doubled down shortly after the first trade. Do you generally hold onto the 1st trade after you double down, or sell both at the same time? When do you decide to double down? What you perceive to be the low point? Ingenious! Though I have to admit my heart would be pumping so fast if I had double downed…

Just to clarify, when you say “double down” you are referring to the fact that I’m placing two separate trades with Robinhood and Etrade, right? I will sell both at the same time. Lately I have been entering similar positions with a stock using both platforms if I believe the price action is especially stretched to the point that it’s almost a 100% guarantee to see a profit. It works out most of the time. I place similar trades with separate brokers so that I have plenty of money available in both accounts in case I need to average down. Some may say it’s silly to have two platforms, but I can’t seem to break away from Robinhood completely lol

Another impressive day !! How would you have traded BA from 10:05 to 10:20 . There were 3 candles similar to you 9:50 trade. Do you strictly consider a single candle or multiple candles also? My other question was how did you timely exit the 10:59 AM trade on AAPL. If you aimed for a bigger profit, that would be a loss making trade but you smartly exited at the right time.

Thanks! I actually did try buying around 10:15ish, but my order was never executed. I set my limit order too far below the bid. I strictly consider one candle at a time. Well, with Apple in particular, if I’m not able to sell within a minute or two with a profit, that’s usually a good indicator that it will continue it’s momentum in the direction it’s been going. So that’s why I exited when I did. Every stock acts a bit differently.
